Proud to Care update 19th August 2020
Jobs and Support Event for Eden Project staff – Wednesday 26th August
Proud to Care Cornwall will be promoting employment and career opportunities in social care at a second jobs and support event for Eden project employees on Wednesday 26th August.
To ensure the wellbeing of everyone attending, the organisers are limiting the number of stands but want to ensure that as many job vacancies as possible are promoted to those attending. Proud to Care Cornwall will be there to promote all vacancies on its website and careers in social care in general. Chaos Positive People project, Chaos Cares, which provides support to people seeking employment will also be there to offer their services and to help promote care sector opportunities.
This could be a great opportunity to recruit people new to the care sector and again we need your help to achieve this.
Please let us know what vacancies you have by adverting your jobs for free on Proud to Care Cornwall. This is the easiest way for us to promote your vacancies. Registering to advertise on Proud to Care Cornwall website is quite straight forward with details on the Submit a Job webpage or you can email us at proudtocare@cornwall.gov.uk
We are particularly keen to ensure we have details of vacancies in the St Austell and surrounding areas and ideally a contact telephone number and/or e-mail so that people can make immediate and direct contact with you.
The People Hub and all funded employment support providers across Cornwall and Isles of Scilly have details of Proud to Care Cornwall as a point for accessing care sector vacancies.
If you have any questions, please contact Proud to Care Cornwall at proudtocare@cornwall.gov.uk

Positive People project - support for driving lessons
We know from feedback that the ability to drive is often a barrier for people entering the care sector, especially for Home Care services. However, there may be help available through the Positive People Project.
If you have applicants who would be great for the role, have passed their driving theory and maybe have had a few lessons and you want to find out more about the support available, please contact Tricia Tricia@chaosgroupcornwall.co.uk or 01872 277600
