CFT/RCH staff are encouraged to not raise a safeguarding against a care home without speaking to the care home first.

It was stressed that any issues that do not require a direct safeguarding to be raised can be sent direct to Cerian so that they are able to address the issues and learn from the situation. Examples given where this may be appropriate include a discharge where a venflon was left in or a discharge without medication. Cerian’s contact info is:
